On Saturday, September 11, 2021, a diverse group of pastors from the Fitchburg, MA area hosted an outdoor event in Riverfront Park, to bring churches together in worship, prayer, testimonies, and preaching. Being the 20th Anniversary of the September 11th Attacks on US soil, space was given to remember and to honor the 2,996 who died and the first responders who risked life, limb, and health to rescue others. The Mayor of Fitchburg and the Chief of Police spoke and appreciation was expressed to a formation of First Responders (Fire, Police, EMT) present. Several of them gave their hearts to the Lord earlier in the day as pastors visited their headquarters and were invited to speak. Retired Air Guard Chaplain, Steve Misarski, shared his memories of September 11 and his service in Iraq. Pastor Johnny Zacchio of Calvary Chapel Grace and Truth of Yonkers NY gave a New York perspective on September 11th and shared a Gospel message. People responded.

This event was a result of pastors gathering together for one hour of prayer each week. Steve Misarski, the New England Team Leader for Barnabas Ministries, has been attending this prayer gathering faithfully for the past eight months. John 17:23 Pastoral Support Groups are now forming as a result. These same pastors intend to plan more events together to evidence a unity among Gospel churches and a desire to be a blessing to their community.
